Abstracts

The International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer invites members and non-members to submit abstracts for review in conjunction with the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting. Abstracts may be submitted May 1-July 21, 2008 by clicking the “Submit an Abstract” button above. There are no fees to submit abstracts.

* Poster only category. Abstracts submitted in these categories will be eligible for poster presentations only. However, abstracts submitted in these catagories and noted as eligible for Young Investigator Awards will be considered for both poster and oral presentations.
**Abstracts selected for oral presentation in this category will be presented on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Workshop on Cancer and Inflammation: Promise for Biological Therapy. Abstracts selected for poster presentation from this category will be displayed during the Annual Meeting on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1, 2008.

Guidelines for Contact Authors

Authors submitting abstracts to the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting must agree to the following:

  • Be the contact for all correspondence about the abstract and inform co-authors about its status
  • Confirm all authors are aware of and agree to the content and data presented in the abstract
  • Verify the abstract is accurate and that permission has been obtained from all relevant parties
  • Verify the data presented in the abstract has not been published prior to the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting
  • Agree that abstracts submitted to iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting are embargoed until October 23, 2008
  • Agree that if accepted, they or a co-author will present the abstract at the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting

Abstracts cannot be withdrawn after the abstract submission deadline.

Submitting an abstract for the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting does not constitute registration for the conference. Abstract presenters must register to attend the iSBTc Meeting by completing the registration form.

Submission Instructions

Abstract submission will be available on the iSBTc website from May 1 – July 21, 2008.

To submit an abstract for the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting:
  1. Review the abstract information on this page.
  2. Select the “Submit an Abstract” button at the top right of this screen.
  3. Follow the online instructions to create a login name and password.
    Please remember this information as it is needed to access your abstract for editing.
  4. Continue through the submission process by completing the following sections:
    • Contact author information
    • Abstract text
    • Category / Presentation type
    • Award eligibility (optional)
    • Author affiliations
    • Author listing
    • Table creation (optional)
    • Image upload (optional)
    • Copyright waiver
  5. Submit your abstract or save it for future editing.
    Abstracts can be revised as many times as desired prior to the deadline, however, all draft abstracts must be submitted by the July 21 deadline to be considered for presentation.
    After July 21, no changes or submissions will be accepted.

Publication / Embargo Dates

All abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentations will be published in the November/December issue of Journal of Immunotherapy, the official journal of iSBTc. This issue will be released October 23, 2008. All abstracts submitted to the 23rd Annual Meeting will be embargoed until this date.

Abstract Notifications

Abstract notifications will be sent to contact authors via email on August 21, 2008.

Young Investigator Abstract Awards

iSBTc promotes growth and achievement among young investigators in the field of cancer biologics. In 2008, iSBTc will offer several Young Investigator Awards recognizing excellence in oral abstract and poster presentations at the 23rd Annual Meeting.
