Abstract submission for the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting was available May 1, 2008 - July 21, 2008 through the iSBTc website. Late-breaking abstract submission was available August 18 - September 19, 2008.

  • New Agents *
  • TH-17, Cytokines and T Cell Subsets
  • Trafficking and in vivo Imaging *

* Abstracts submitted in these categories will be presented as posters only.

**Abstracts selected for oral presentation in this category will be presented on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Workshop on Inflammation and Cancer: Promise for Biological Therapy. Abstracts selected for poster presentation from this category will be displayed during the Annual Meeting on Saturday, November1, 2008.

Guidelines for Contact Authors

Authors submitting abstracts to the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting have agreed to the following:

  • Serve as the contact for all correspondence about the abstract and inform co-authors about its status
  • Confirm all authors are aware of and agree to the content and data presented in the abstract
  • Verify the abstract is accurate and that permission has been obtained from all relevant parties
  • Verify the data presented in the abstract has not been published prior to the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting
  • Agree that abstracts submitted to the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting are embargoed until October 23, 2008
  • Agree that if accepted, they or a co-author will present the abstract at the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting

Abstracts cannot be withdrawn after July 21, 2008.

Submitting an abstract for the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting does not constitute registration for the conference. Abstract presenters must register to attend the iSBTc Meeting by completing the registration form.

Publication / Embargo Dates

Late-breaking abstracts submitted by September 19, 2008 will be printed in the iSBTc Poster Abstract Book and are embargoed until October 23, 2008. All abstracts, which were submitted by July 21, 2008 will be published in the November/December issue of Journal of Immunotherapy, the official journal of iSBTc. This issue will be released October 23, 2008. All abstracts submitted to the 23rd Annual Meeting will be embargoed until this date.

Abstract Notifications

Notifications for late-breaking abstracts will be sent via email on September 29, 2008. Notifications for regular abstracts were sent to contact authors via email on August 21, 2008.

Young Investigator Abstract Awards

The deadline for applying for Young Investigator Abstract Awards was July 21, 2008.

iSBTc promotes growth and achievement among young investigators in the field of cancer biologics. In 2008, iSBTc will offer several Young Investigator Awards recognizing excellence in oral abstract and poster presentations at the 23rd Annual Meeting.
