General Meeting Information
The International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer (iSBTc) will hold the 23rd Annual Meeting and Associated Programs October 29-November 2, 2008 at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter Hotel in San Diego, CA. The iSBTc is the principal venue dedicated to information exchange among a diverse audience of basic and clinical investigators from academic, regulatory and biopharmaceutical venues and includes clinicians, researchers, students, post-doctoral fellows and allied health professionals.
Giorgio Parmiani, MD from the San Raffaele Foundation and Robert D. Schreiber, PhD from Washington University in St. Louis will present the scientific program's keynote addresses. The Society's Annual Meeting faculty will lead scientific sessions on topics featuring presentations from both invited speakers and abstract presenters. The new poster reception on Friday evening and the Presidential Reception on Saturday will serve as a social and networking venue for all Annual Meeting attendees.
In conjunction with the 23rd Annual Meeting, iSBTc will hold three separate associated programs, the "Global Regulatory Summit" featuring thought-leaders at regulatory agencies from around the world, the interactive "Workshop on Cancer and Inflammation: Promise for Biological Therapy" and the educational "Primer on Tumor Immunology and Biological Therapy of Cancer."
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit
The iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting, Workshop and Primer have been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior, A Medical Education Company (IAHB-AMEDCO) and the International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer (iSBTc). IAHB-AMEDCO is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Abstract Submission
iSBTc invites both members and non-members to submit abstracts for review. Abstracts can be submitted from May 1 - July 21, 2008. Abstracts submitted by the July 21 deadline will be reviewed by a committee for selection of poster and/or oral presentations. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Immunotherapy, the official journal of iSBTc. There is no fee for submitting abstracts to iSBTc. Click here to submit an abstract.
Exhibits
The 23rd Annual Meeting will feature a number of exhibitors whose products and services will be on display for all meeting attendees. Pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, medical publishers and data management companies, as well as research and regulatory agencies are invited to participate in the meeting exhibition. Exhibit Hours
Exhibits will be made available Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 during the Annual Meeting.
Photo/Video Policy
Photography and videography are prohibited in all iSBTc session rooms, including general session, poster and exhibit locations unless prior approval is received from the iSBTc executive office

Refund Policy
Refund requests should be submitted in writing to the iSBTc office by September 19, 2008. A $50 processing fee will be charged for all cancellations. All refunds will be processed after the meeting and no refunds will be granted if the cancellation is received after September 19, 2008.
Registration
Registration for the iSBTc 23rd Annual Meeting and Associated Programs begins on May 1, 2008 and can be submitted online. iSBTc members receive reduced registration fees for all educational programs. All non-members have the opportunity to submit applications for membership and receive reduced registration fees. Early registration discounts will also be offered to those registering by September 19, 2008. Pre-registered attendees will have their Annual Meeting registration materials available for immediate pick-up at the iSBTc registration desk.

Richard V. Smalley Award
iSBTc is proud to announce the winner of the "4th Annual Richard V. Smalley, MD, Memorial Lectureship Award" as Giorgio Parmiani, MD, of the San Raffaele Foundation on Friday, October 31, 2008. Dr. Parmiani will give the keynote on Friday and be presented the award during the Presidential Reception on Saturday. This award serves to recognize sustained excellence in research in the field of biological therapy.
Young Investigator Awards
iSBTc is dedicated to the growth and achievement of young investigators in the field of cancer biologics. In 2008, iSBTc will offer several "Young Investigator Awards" recognizing excellence in oral abstract and poster presentations at the Annual Meeting. Be sure to check the award eligibility box when submitting abstracts online to be considered for one of these "Young Investigator Awards."
