Dear Colleagues,

The International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer (iSBTc) cordially invites you to attend the Society's 22nd Annual Meeting and Associated Programs November 1 - 4, 2007 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Since its inception in 1984, the iSBTc has hosted highly-quality, cutting-edge programs and served as the premier venue for scientific exchange and collaborative interaction among investigators from academia, industry, and regulatory agencies in the U.S. and abroad with a specific focus on the biological therapy of cancer. These sessions traditionally provide state-of-the-art presentations regarding adoptive cellular therapy, tumor vaccines, cytokines, antibodies and anti-angiogenic approaches for the treatment of cancer. Further, major programmatic initiatives in recent years have provided in-depth focus on topics including immune monitoring, biomarkers, cancer vaccine clinical trials, angiogenesis, opportunities and obstacles in the development of therapeutic combinations and biological effects of targeted cancer therapeutics among others.

iSBTc programs provide a productive meeting environment that facilitates interaction among attendees and program faculty and promotes scientific exchange between basic scientists and clinical researchers from around the world. Every year, iSBTc plans the Annual Meeting and Associated Programs to best meet the needs of our audience, and this year is no different. For the first time, eligible attendees will now have the opportunity to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit for attendance at this year’s meeting. In addition, efforts to recognize scientific excellence and promote the career development of junior investigators in the field have been expanded this year with several travel awards to complement the existing Presidential Award program.

The 22nd Annual Meeting will take place on November 2 – 4 (Friday - Sunday) and will feature invited scientific presentations from renowned experts in the field as well as oral and/or poster presentations of submitted abstracts. The Annual Meeting will be preceded by a one-day Workshop on Future Opportunities for Combination Biological Therapy of Cancer beginning on the morning of Thursday, November 1. Later that day, the iSBTc will also offer a separate educational Primer on Tumor Immunology and Biological Therapy. These three programs offer participants at every level of expertise the opportunity to learn about new innovations, discuss different methodologies, and network with leaders in the field.

As President of the iSBTc, I encourage you to join us for the iSBTc 22nd Annual Meeting and Associated Programs and contribute to our mission to improve patient outcomes by advancing the development and application of biological therapy. I look forward to seeing you in November!

Sincerely,

Jon M. Wigginton
