Regular Membership ($240 annual dues) requires the applicant to have an MD or PhD in a biological science or the equivalent and be an active, bona fide representative of the international scientific community with a specialty or interest in a field related to cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Regular membership includes the right to vote and hold elective office.
Affiliate Membership ($240 annual dues) is available to individuals active or otherwise interested in the discovery and translation of cancer immunology and immunotherapy but are not a member of the scientific or medical communities. Examples include those in marketing, sales, medical affairs, payers, health outcomes and economics. Affiliate membership does not include the right to vote or hold elective office but does afford eligibility for committee and task force service.
Allied Health Membership ($50 annual dues) requires the applicant to be engaged in the field of cancer immunotherapy / tumor immunology or a related field, in patient care, in a technical or administrative capacity, or work in research laboratories. Examples include dieticians, oncology educators and oncology social workers. Allied Health Membership does not include the right to vote or hold elective office but does afford eligibility for committee and task force service.
Emeritus Membership (complimentary annual dues) requires active membership within the Society in good standing for ten consecutive years. Upon attaining age sixty-five (65) and retirement from active practice or research, a member may request that his/her membership status transition to emeritus. Emeritus Members shall retain all privileges of Regular Members except that they shall not hold elective office. Emeritus members are exempt from payment of dues.
Nurse and Physician Extender Membership ($50 annual dues) requires the applicant to be engaged in the field of cancer immunotherapy / tumor immunology or a related field, in patient care, in a technical or administrative capacity, or work in research laboratories. Examples include registered nurses, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Nurse Membership does not include the right to vote or hold elective office but does afford eligibility for committee and task force service.
Patient and Patient Advocate Membership (complimentary annual dues) requires an interest in or experience with cancer immunotherapy. Advocates must have a demonstrated commitment to patients and furthering the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Patient / Patient Advocate Membership does not include the right to vote or hold elective office but does afford eligibility for committee and task force service. One complimentary Patient Advocate Membership is extended per qualifying non-profit patient advocacy organization. Additional staff may join at a rate of $50 annual dues.
Pharmacist Membership ($180 annual dues) is available to pharmacists who actively contribute to the care and treatment of cancer patients. This includes, but is not limited to, prescribing and/or administering treatments including immunotherapies in daily practices or clinical trials. Individuals must hold a PharmD or equivalent degree and be licensed within a specialty or interest in a field related to cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Pharmacist Membership does not include the right to vote and hold elective office but does afford eligibility for committee and task force service.
Scientist-in-Training/Student Membership ($50 annual dues) is available to individuals whom are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate academic programs or those participating in a postdoctoral fellowships or residency programs, with a demonstrated interest in cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Scientist in Training/Student membership does not include the right to vote or hold elective office but does afford eligibility for committee and task force service.
