The 16th Annual Meeting of Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) was organized by CSCO and Beijing CSCO Clinical Research Foundation with the theme of Strengthen Cooperation, Continuous Innovation. This five-day conference provided the opportunity to demonstrate the creativity and diversity of new ideas and developments in clinical oncology that exist across China. Experts from SITC, including Lieping Chen, MD, PhD, Bernard A. Fox, Phd, and Jon M. Wigginton, MD, will be participating in a joint session by speaking on such topics as "Science of Immune Modulation Therapy" and "Cancer Immunotherapy 2013: Checkpoint Inhibition and Beyond".
In addition, the 1st International Conference of Federation of Asian Clinical Oncology (FACO), was held in conjunction with the 16th CSCO Annual Meeting on September 26, 2013. The theme for this meeting was to improve the standard of cancer treatment through the cooperate studies.
This conference was organized by CSCO and FACO. FACO was established in accordance of consensus of JSCO, CSCO and KACO in February 2012. The ultimate goal of FACO is to improve the standard of cancer treatment through the cooperate studies on more effective therapeutic strategies based on drugs, surgery and/or radiotherapy that are already in use, as well as through the development of new drugs and other innovative approaches in the Asian Pacific area. The conference will focus on cancer as a global challenge with the aim of improving the cure rate as well as the quality of life of cancer patients, especially in Asian region.
